Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic imaging uses electromagnetic radiation and other technologies, including veterinary ultrasounds, to capture detailed images of your pet's internal systems. We use these to make accurate diagnoses and provide efficient, effective treatment.

  • Digital Radiology (X-Rays)

As we examine your pet, we take digital x-rays to capture high-quality images of their internal structures. We pull these images up instantly on a computer screen and manipulate them as required.

This software provides extremely detailed images quickly and safely, so we can accurately diagnose and treat your pet.

  • Ultrasound

When a pet has a tumor or consumes something it shouldn't have, an ultrasound can help us find and identify the object. To do this, our vets need to see the architecture of the animal's organ. They use ultrasound to transmit sound waves into your pet's body to create an image.

This non-invasive technology is also used to diagnose hemoabdomen and pericardial effusion (blood in the abdomen and around the heart). It helps us distinguish fluid from foreign bodies or soft tissue masses, a task that can be difficult to do with a digital x-ray.

  • Endoscopy

Endoscopy uses special video cameras to take a minimally invasive approach to look within your pet's body cavity or organs. This equipment helps us diagnose and remove stones and place feeding tubes.
